After an opening day loss, the Pirates have rolled off 11 straight wins as they head into a big series against Tallahassee Community College. During this stretch, the ACCC has named a Pirate player a pitcher or player of the week for 3 consecutive weeks. This week it was 3B Jaylen Smith, as he had a monster week in a home and home set against West Georgia Tech that earned him the honor. Additionally, Perfect Game released its first regular season poll this week and Chattahoochee Valley jumped three spots up to the 3rd ranked team in America.
The young Pirate pitching continues to shine, while the veteran offense continues to score. Add in flawless defense, and Chattahoochee Valley has the perfect recipe for another 3 game sweep during a home stand against West Georgia Tech, ABAC and Point University. Continue reading

Chattahoochee Valley Baseball continued their winning ways on Monday, going into Carrollton, Georgia to face a very dangerous West Georgia Tech Squad. A couple of news and notes for Chatt Valley Baseball fans as we head into week 3 of the season: RHP Charles Crosby was named the Alabama Community College Conference Pitcher of the week for his outstanding start against Andrew College in Panama City, Florida. Additionally, first pitch for Monday, February 13th’s game at West Georgia Tech is 1:15 pm eastern.
