Pirates Ranked #12 in First of Three Pre-Season JUCO Polls

As has become the norm around Chattahoochee Valley Baseball, the Pirates are, once again, one of the national favorites to return to Grand Junction for the Alpine Bank JUCO World Series.  In the first of the three pre-season JUCO polls, Collegiate Baseball News has tabbed the Pirates as the number 12 team in America.

As a perennial top ranked junior college program, the Pirates climbed to as high as # 4 in 2017, while staying in the top 7 for the entire year.  The 2017 club finished 47-12 claiming their 5th ACCC Division Title in the past 8 years, but came up short on their bid to make their 4th consecutive appearance to the JUCO World Series.

The 2018 club returns a strong, veteran pitching staff anchored by All-American, Casey Cobb, with a sophomore and redshirt freshman heavy offensive lineup which looks to make a lot of noise in the national and conference standings.
