2015 Class Continues to Grow, as Pirates Ink LHP Stewart Tyler

In what is turning into another outstanding recruiting class for the 2016 Pirates, Coach Adam Thomas made the group one man larger this week with the signing of left handed pitcher, Stewart Tyler, of Crisp County High School.

Tyler is the younger brother of top college prospect Robert Tyler, who currently pitches at the University of Georgia with former Pirate, Trevor Kieboom.  The tall, hard throwing lefty adds a top level arm to what should be an outstanding pitching staff in 2016.

Coach Thomas had this to say, “It took all of about 3 pitches to see that we wanted Stewart in our rotation next season.  He is tall, rangy, athletic, with a silky smooth delivery, and a whippy arm action.  He throws three quality pitches already.  Of course I cannot predict the future, but Stew has the makings of a future draft pick.  I can’t wait to see what he can bring to our program next season.”
