Plethora of Pirates Earn Post-Season Accolades

A magical run through the regular season and ACCC Tournament for the Pirate baseball team, got much better for a handful of individuals on the 2014 ACCC Championship club, as ten members of the Chattahoochee Valley Pirates garnered All-Division, All-Region, All Tournament, or All-American honors.

One of the benefits of a special season, typically means you have special players.  This was certainly the case from the first man on the roster to the last in 2014.  However, 10 Pirates wearing that pinstripe uniform were recognized statewide, regionally, or nationally at the conclusion of the ACCC Tournament.

Earning All ACCC Central Division honors were:

  • RHP Dylan Lee
  • SS John Holland
  • 3B Trevor Kieboom
  • C Jared Martin
  • RHP Dalton Rentz
  • LF Jeff Ronpirin
  • RF Cam Sperry

Joining the All ACCC/Region 22/Southeastern District Team were:

  • RHP Dylan Lee
  • SS John Holland
  • RHP Dalton Rentz
  • RF Cam Sperry

Additionally, SS John Holland was named the ACCC’s and Region 22’s 2014 Player of the Year, while RHP Dalton Rentz was named the league’s and region’s Pitcher of the Year.  Finally, Coach Adam Thomas was named the Central Division, Region 22, and Southeastern District Coach of the Year.

In addition to making the All Tournament team, Dalton Rentz was also named the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

  • RHP Dalton Rentz – Honorable Mention NJCAA All American
