Jared Kahn Named CVCC’s Top Student for 2011-12

Pirate second baseman, Jared Kahn, was named Chattahoochee Valley Community College’s Most Outstanding Student for the 2011-12 academic year at CVCC’s annual Academic Awards Banquet at the Green Island Country Club.

Kahn, who is graduating with his Associates Degree this month with a perfect 4.00 GPA, was the star of the night at the ceremony as he was a winner in five categories:  Math, Most Outstanding Student-Athlete, Top 10 Graduating class, General Scholarship, and, of course, the most prestigious award, Most Outstanding Student.

Jared is from Atlanta, Georgia, and a graduate of Woodward Academy and is the son of Phillip and Fredericka Kahn.  He plans to pursue a career in medicine and is currently deciding between Georgia State University and Emory University as to where he will further both his academic and baseball career.
